Trumpet students of Dr. Krummel have earned doctoral degrees in trumpet performance from Ohio State University, State University of New York at Stony Brook, and the University of Illinois. Students of prior trumpet teachers have earned doctoral degrees in trumpet performance or jazz studies from the Univeristy of Colorado.
Trumpet students of Dr. Krummel have gone on to attend graduate school for trumpet performance or jazz studies at Boston University, Temple University, Texas Christian University, Florida State University, the University of Florida, Kent State University, the University of Akron, Youngstown State University, Western Michigan University, Penn State University, Carnegie-Mellon University, Duquesne University, the University of Illinois, Southern Illinois University, Illinois State University, Rutgers University, and the University of Louisville.
